Jason Andrew Gilbert is a labor and employment Senior Associate with Gilbert Law Group who represents both private and public sector clients in all labor and employment matters. His experience encompasses a wide range of matters in the employer-employee relationship, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of employment agreements, restrictive covenants, family and medical leave, independent contractor classifications, labor relations, employment policies, health and safety, non-competition and confidentiality agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Jason earned a B.A. from the University of Florida. While attending Florida, Jason developed a keen interest in government and law while majoring in Political Science with a minor in English. Jason became an active and prominent member of Phi Alpha Delta, the largest and pre-eminent co-ed professional law fraternity in the country.

Following his graduation from the University of Florida, Jason worked at various law firms. His work concentrated exclusively in Labor and Employment Law. It was during this time that his passion for law in the workplace burgeoned.

After a year of working as a legal assistant, Jason attended New York Law School in Manhattan’s Financial District where he excelled earning a Juris Doctor degree. While balancing a heavy course-load, Jason was elected to the position of Attorney General of the Labor and Employment Law Society. Jason also became an active member of the Unemployment Action Center. While still attending school, Jason became certified and represented individuals in various unemployment hearings.

Jason handles all aspects of labor and employment matters in various agencies, and federal and state trial and appellate courts. He also provides counsel to clients on a daily basis regarding a wide array of workplace issues and disputes.

Jason is a member of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations and is active in various sections, including their respective Labor and Employment Law committees. Jason is admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
