When Howard Gilbert began practicing Labor and Employment Law in 1980, 43 years ago, he did so because of his understanding of the history of labor-management relations and his fascination with the relationship between the workforce and industry. Mr. Gilbert grew up the son of an immigrant postal worker and disabled homemaker in the Bronx, New York. As a result, he values hard work and hard working people. People with families, careers, businesses, interests, and goals. At the earliest stage of his career, Mr. Gilbert recognized the importance of the relationships between the worker and employer, the employer and the industry, and the industry and the economy.
Mr. Gilbert has always believed that it is critical to build strong interpersonal professional relationships in order to achieve results for our clients. Relationships built on expertise, loyalty, trust, and dedication. Mr. Gilbert built the practice with a singular focus on providing expert counsel in the area of labor, education and employment law, but with a uniquely personal, individual approach. This is what separates Gilbert Law Group from other labor and employment law firms. If you ask his clients, about Mr. Gilbert, they will undoubtedly tell you that throughout his representation, they got to know Mr. Gilbert on a personal level. He supported them in their time of need. More than merely working for them, Mr. Gilbert was there to meet with or talk to them; advise them as to their best course of action. Mr. Gilbert and his associates take great pride in being there for our clients because we genuinely care for their well-being. Mr. Gilbert has developed and instilled this passion for building relationships with people into this law firm.
Mr. Gilbert now shares this 43 year old tradition onto his son, Jason, who shares his father’s passion for zealous representation and developing personal relationships with the firm’s clients. Jason has apprenticed in the firm since high school. Upon graduating law school and passing the bar examination, Jason joined the firm. Jason’s knowledge and enthusiasm for Labor and Employment Law is extraordinary. In his time at Gilbert Law Group, he has continued to build on the firm’s commitment to “Care, Competence, and Reasonable Rates.”
